Prinzdorff 5X7 camera + 150mm + 90mm lenses 4X5 back (Deardorff) + 8 holders

$1,500.00

The ultimate 5X7 field camera. The Prinzdorff was made in India for a short while. This camera is made of teak wood and chrome-plated brass hardware. It is an almost identical copy of the Deardorff camera of the same era, with front swings. Most parts are interchangeable with original deardorff parts. This camera has seen very little use, which is evident in its very nice finish and overall condition.

***The 5X7 back on this camera is an original Deardorff back.

Includes:

Prinzdorff 5X7 field camera with front swing
4X5 rotating reducing back
Original Deardorff 5X7 back with brand new ground glass
Schneider Angulon 120mm F6.8
Schneider Symmar 210mm F5.6
Three 4X5 film holders
Three 5X7 film holders

Camera features and condition:

This is a nice, used Prinzdorff camera.
Camera is used and shows very light signs of use all around.
Metal shows some very light brassing/tarnish from normal use, but is overall fairly clean and shiny.
Leather handle is strong and works as it should.
Massive bellows draw as well as retro movement on the rear standard. This means you can use anything from very short to very long focal length lenses.
Lots of movements throughout (see photos). Front on and off axis, rise/fall, tilt and rear swing/tilt.
Bellows is TESTED LIGHT-TIGHT.
Back easily set up for vertical or horizontal shooting.
4X5 graflock rotating reducing back is very handy.
All camera movements, knobs, gears and latches are in good working condition.
All film holders are well used, but are light-tight and work as they should.

LENSES:

Schneider Symmar 210mm F5.6:
The 210 is a normal angle of view on 5X7 (tele/portrait angle lens on 4X5). This classic, multi-coated lens has excellent sharpness and a massive image circle of nearly 300mm. Clean glass. Shutter fires and sounds good on all speeds.

Schneider Angulon 120mm F6.8:
The 120mm is a super-wide angle of view on 5X7 (very moderate wide on 4X5) and is an excellent, compact and light-weight lens with impressive coverage. Covers 5X7 with room to spare. Glass is clean and shutter works as it should.
